Shad Moss (better known as Bow Wow) was discovered by Snoop when he was just six years old and proceeded to tour with the legendary west coast rapper and Dr. Dre on the Chronic tour under the moniker, “Kid Gangsta.” Later, Moss used the stage names Lil Bow Wow and Bow Wow while producing hits like “Puppy Love” and “Bounce With Me” and appearing in films such as Like Mike and Roll Bounce; he later went on to host BET’s 106 & Park.
In the beginning of August, Moss embarked a tour in Australia, stopping in cities such as Canberra, Newcastle, and Melbourne. After performing at a club called Alumbra, Moss shared photos on social media with a message to his fans. At 29 years old, he is hanging up the mic for good.

He also posted “I always said years ago I’d retire from music before 30. I just can’t see myself at 30 years old rapping.”
Wonder what older rappers in the industry think of his departure and statements….
