Chris Tucker Is Still Not That Interested In Doing ‘Last Friday’

There is no doubt that the 1995 film; “Friday” is a classic. Everyone has his or her favorite characters and favorite lines from the film.

After it’s release, the Friday franchise would go on to grow with two additional films, “Next Friday” and “Friday After Next.”

Now the concept of a fourth film, “Last Friday” has been going around. Back in August Ice Cube took to Twitter and said, “We had a meeting. Can’t do Last Friday unless we can do it right. Ball is in New Line Cinema’s hands. Bat is in mine.”

Recently Global Grind’s BlogXilla caught up with Chris Tucker as he promoted his new film, “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk,” and asked if he would revive his role as Smokey for “Last Friday.”

Tucker said, “I was flipping through the TV and I was watching Friday. It was a moment in time, and I was a young kid and I was laughing through the whole thing too and I was proud of that – making myself laugh. I don’t know if we can do another one. I don’t know if I can do another one because I was so young and it was a moment in time, but we’ll see.”

Now it wasn’t a complete no, so let’s just cross our fingers and hope that things work out and we can see Smokey in the “Last Friday” film.
