An Arizona couple is facing public shame and some child neglect charges after law enforcement says they left their 2 year old home alone while they went off to play “Pokemon Go.”
Tucson.com is reporting, Brent Daley, 27, and Brianne Daley, 25, were arrested and booked on suspicion of child endangerment and child neglect charges.
The Sheriff’s Department says that a neighbor of the Pinal County couple called 911 at around 10:30 p.m Thursday, after she discovered a 2-year-old toddler crying outside. He was not properly dressed either reports state the toddler had on only a diaper and appeared sweaty and dirty.
Pinal County Sheriff’s broke into the house and used family photos to identify that the toddler lived at the residence. When deputies called the parents to alert them that their toddler had been found abandoned, the receiver replied “Whatever” and hung up.
The couple was arrested as soon as they returned to their house, which was an hour after deputies arrived.
Later the couple told law enforcement they left their toddler alone while he was sleeping so they could go look for “Pokemon Go” characters. Deputies estimate the boy was left alone for at least 90 minutes.
