New Michael Jordan-Owned Restaurant: Construction Underway

Demolition is complete of the old Charley’s Crab restaurant and construction is expected to start soon on a new waterfront restaurant, partly owned by former NBA superstar Michael Jordan.

Jordan, a part-time Jupiter, FL resident who has a home in the Bear’s Club off Donald Ross Road, is one of the 15 investors and a managing member in the 325-seat restaurant expected to open by the end of 2017.

The other investors include former New York Giants running back Tucker Frederickson.

The new restaurant, to be called 1000 North, is to have about 8,700 square feet of indoor seating and about 2,900 square feet of outdoor seating.

Construction off U.S. 1 just north of Burt Reynolds Park is expected to begin in about a month, pending approval of building plans by the town of Jupiter.
