October 8, 2008 the Juice was found guilty of all 12 counts against him, which ranged from armed robbery to assault, and sentenced to 33 years at the Loveland Correctional Center. Many thought that the then 61 year old would die in prison. Fast forward to now, 9 years later and O.J. will finally be eligible for parole in October of this year.
According to Sports Illustrated, Simpson is scheduled to go before a Nevada parole board as early as July, and depending on their recommendation, he may be able to be a free man by this fall. But if his parole is denied he will remain behind bars until 2022 when he is 75 years old.
This will not be O.J.’s first time going in front of the parole board. In 2013 he successfully went before the board and was granted parole on several charges connected to the kidnapping and armed robbery charges against him, which helped reduce his sentence. So hopefully the Juice will have the same luck this July and become a free member of society again.
