Tennis star Serena Williams is officially the 2016 Wimbledon women’s champion. Saturday morning, Williams beat out Angelique Kerber in the finals with straight set wins. The victory marks the 34-year-old’s 22nd career Grand Slam title. Historically, that number puts Williams at a tie with Steffi Graf for the most in the Open Era.
Now, as a 7-time Wimbledon Champion, Williams will return the court later Saturday with her sister, Venus. If won, the victory would mark the pair’s 6th Wimbledon title and 14th overall Grand Slam win.
Congratulations to #SerenaWilliams!
