Teyana Taylor has been bringing back the 80s since 2007.
Before she became the be-thonged star of Kanye West’s “Fade” video, which appeared during the MTV VMAs over the weekend, she rocked sneakers and a rainbow colored tutu dress on MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16.”
The theme for her excessively expensive, coming-of-age bash? 80s old school skateboard.
The 26-year-old performer has certainly come a long way since her turn on the hit reality show, where she demanded a skateboard ramp be the focal point of her venue and allegedly purchased a $275,000 bracelet in the episode’s first scene, but she hasn’t quite yet left the 80s yet.
Since appearing in the Kanye’s video, Taylor has redefined body goals.
She turned heads while she channeled Jennifer Beals in West’s “Flashdance” inspired music video, and has redefined “body goals” only eight months after giving birth to her daughter with husband and basketball star Iman Shumpert.
Since the video premiere, many people have named Taylor their fitspo and are hitting the gym in her name — but the “Fade” star recently told E! News that’s not exactly the approach she herself took.
Apparently, she doesn’t diet or hit the gym, she just does what made her famous.
