Canada: Police Nearly Wrote A Ticket For A Snow Car That Looked So Real

No one likes getting a ticket from a traffic warden – or the police, for that matter. The fine can sometimes cost you an arm and a leg and you end up kicking yourself for not chucking enough change in the meter.
However, a crafty Canadian had the last laugh when he sculpted a car out of snow that looked so real that police tried to give it a ticket.
To be fair, from a distance, the car looks like it’s just been buried under a decent blanket of snow. But when you get a little closer, those edges and curves are way too defined to be a vehicle with a white covering.
Simon Laprise carefully sculpted the snow car, which was a very good attempt at replicating the DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future.
The 33-year-old had even chucked a windscreen wiper onto his creation for added effect, having found it lying on the street.
Simon saw the massive dumping of snow outside his work and thought it would be better creating a bit of art rather than letting it sit there unappreciated.
Laprise says: “I though the ticket was hilarious. But when I saw the pictures on internet the next day, it was even better.”
The cops placed a ticket on the ‘windscreen’, writing: “You have made our evening.”
Unfortunately, Simon wasn’t there to witness the confusion in real time and he also missed the moment the snow patrol arrived to demolish his beautiful creation.
While some think winter is a ballache because it’s freezing (and it is), at least this bloke is taking a ‘when life gives you lemons’ approach to the season.
